My favourite 'thing' of the week is definitely my new earrings (featured above) that I found in a little fashion boutique here in my home town in Australia. They are made by Californian-based jewelry designer,Colleen Toland and are just adorable. I had a gift certificate to spend and my eyes just zeroed in on these babies. I had a momentary shoppers conundrum wondering; "are they too over the top", "can i get away with these" and worried that I may purchase them only to be hit with a long stint of of shopper's remorse afterwards. I threw caution to the wind and went ahead with my purchase and haven't looked back! Love them! The kit used to create this post's scrap layout is Mardi Gras by Miki Ferkul and the flowers are from Victorian Christmas by Miki Ferkul and Saxon Holt available at Scrapbook Elements.
International Digital Scrapbooking Day on 7 November marked the biggest day of the year on our digiscrap calendar, and of course triggered MASSIVE industry-wide digiscrap sales (don't cha just luv that word???)!!! I picked-up heaps of bargains and some great freebies from my fave sites (like I don't have enough digiscraps already....we are now rolling in terabytes at our place LOL!). So grateful to be a part of the digital purchasing realm and don't have to actually go to a real store and wade through the sales bins, fight other shoppers for the best deals (we've all been there....) or wait in line at the check-out!
I kicked-off my gig on the Super Treasure Scrapper Creative Team for Cool Scraps Digital which was so exciting. This week I had the pleasure of working with Israel-based designer, Elsina M Schepers from EMS Arts. I worked with her soulful kit, Solitude which is a really versatile kit with great muted tones of blue and brown that can scrap both feminine and masculine pages. You could easily pull several themes out of the kit. Here are some of the pages I created using it.
